This article will cover:

  • How to quote for Fleets and/or Vendor Aircraft

  • run feasibility checks for Vendor Aircraft and Fleet quotes

  • how to edit the price for the quote

CREATE A QUOTE

  1. Click on Quotes from the main navigation

  2. Select create

  3. Select the account, contact, and aircraft. When selecting the aircraft there will be options within the drop-down for a tail number from the Managed, Vendor, or Fleet list.

  4. Input the itinerary details and click create

Managed refers to the operation's aircraft added within the My Company > Aircraft section.

Vendor Aircraft also known as Brokered Aircraft are the tail numbers added to charter operator vendor records.

Fleets allow a user to assemble a quote before a specific tail number is assigned/known. When a Fleet is selected, the system will use a Representative Aircraft that has been designated for the Fleet to pull in basic aircraft data points such as, performance data, flight time configurations, capacity, and contracts. For more information refer to the article Aircraft Fleets

Note: If a user selects Fleets for the quote and a specific tail number is later secured from a vendor, that tail number can be added to the booked quote by creating the aircraft within the charter operator vendor record. See how to Add a Vendor Aircraft for more details.

FEASIBILITY CHECKS

Feasibility checks are done on all trips and quotes to include ones on vendor aircraft and fleets. These checks are similar to the ones conducted on managed tails with a few variations:

  • Airport Performance Checks - If the airport on the quote does not meet the minimum runway length, width, elevation, and operating weight on the Fleet Representative Aircraft the blue information message will display, "Aircraft in this Fleet may not have the runway length performance required for the airports in this itinerary, the check will run upon aircraft assignment".

  • Flight and Distance Check - If the flight time/distance exceeds the fuel stop threshold NM and/or time on the Fleet Representative Aircraft the blue information message will display, "Aircraft in this Fleet may not be able to perform this itinerary without a fuel stop, a check will run upon aircraft assignment".

  • Passenger Count Check - If the passengers on the flight leg (excluding pets) is greater than the Pax Seating value on the Fleet Representative Aircraft the blue information message will display, "Aircraft in this Fleet may not have the seating capacity for this itinerary, the check will run upon aircraft assignment".

Note: Maintenance checks for Fleets and Vendor aircraft are not displayed since maintenance-related items are not applicable for these aircraft.

EDITING THE COST

Upon creation, if the calculation method is not set to fixed, change it at this time to reflect Fixed. This allows the user to easily input the price once the quote is created in the cost field within a flight leg.

There will then be two options for entering the total price.

  1. First option is to click into the flight leg on the quote and input the total price into the cost field. By inputting it into a leg it will refer to the quote type (retail or wholesale) for tax application.

    2. The second option is to add a line item. If FET applies the designator will need to be checked.

If the quote type is set to retail, applicable taxes will be applied to the price. If the quote type is set to wholesale, no tax will be applied.

Note: Once the quote is created, the user can edit the aircraft profile information by clicking the info icon next to the tail number and then clicking Go To Profile.
