Add aircraft engine(s) and APU to aircraft profile 

Add Engine Types

  1. Access the aircraft profile you want to add the engines to and go to the engine section towards the bottom of the page.
  2. Click on the "Add/Edit Engine Types" link and then on the "Create" button in the popup window.

3. Enter the engine name and description (optional) and click the "Save" button. Exit out of the popup window to get back to the aircraft profile.

Add Engines and APU Information

  1. Click the "Add New" button in the engines section of the profile

2. Enter the serial number, type, sequence, hours and/or hobbs and cycles, make active and click "Save"

Helpful Hint: Enter the baselines for engines at the point in time where logging each flight will begin. If baselines are entered after individual log entries have been submitted in Avianis, each log entry will need to be re-saved in order for the engine times to update accordingly.

3. To enter the APU serial number, click on the red "Empty" text next to APU Serial #, enter the information and click the blue save button. The beginning APU hours and cycles are entered through the first flight log.

Enter baselines for air frame and engines

  1. Access the aircraft profile that you want to enter the baseline air frame and engine times for.
  2. Click on the value for starting air frame and starting landings. 
  3. Enter the start times and click the check mark.

4. To enter the starting engine times and cycles go to the Engine section towards the bottom of the page (if not already entered).
5. Click edit, update accordingly and save. Once the air frame and engines contain baseline times, begin logging each leg post-flight. Each trip log's page will display the total hours/cycles for air frame and engines as well as hobbs (if applicable).

Note: Total hobbs is the greatest hobbs value entered into a log.
Tracking the number of landings is another way to track cycles on the aircraft.
