Right-click Menus

The Schedule Board introduces the ability to use Right-click Menus. Different menu options are available to the user depending on which view (Fleets, Aircraft, Vendor, or Crew) the user right-clicks in. Additionally, the Trips view provides different menu options when right-clicking depending on if the user is right-clicking on a blank cell vs. right-clicking on a trip.

Fleets View

Right-clicking in a blank cell

When the user right-clicks in a blank cell in the Fleets view they have the option to select one of the following:

  • Create Event - Creates an event for the date and time selected in this view. The event is created for the logged-in user, but this may be changed. Events do not display in the fleet view.

  • Create Quote - The create request screen will default to the Quote Only toggle and also auto-populate the Aircraft field with the Fleet Name that the user right-clicked on. The date and time fields are determined based on the date and time the user right-clicked on in this view.

  • Create Trip - The create request screen defaults to the Trip Only toggle, and also auto-populates the Aircraft field with the Fleet Name that the user right-clicked on. The date and time fields are determined based on the date and time the user right-clicked on in this view.

Crew View

Right-clicking on a blank cell in the Crew view only allows the users to create an event. The event is created by default for the crew member selected. The Crew view also does not have any right-click menu options when clicking on events, such as medicals, training due, or events, and does not allow any crew filter options. If the user right-clicks on a trip assigned to a crew member they have the following menu options.

  • Change Aircraft - When Selected, a Pop Up Modal appears displaying all legs for the trip giving drop-down options for alternate aircraft per leg, or for all legs. Double-click options

The Schedule Board allows for Double-clicking options on specific activities scheduled on the three different views. A blank cell, training events, transient gray cells, or medical events have no effect when double-clicked.

Maintenance discrepancy: If you have a Maintenace Role, and a discrepancy is double-clicked, a new window pop-up displays with the maintenance information regarding the discrepancy.

Job card: If you have a Maintenace Role, and a job card is double-clicked, the job card opens in a new window where the user can manage the job card.

Trip: If a trip is double-clicked, the trip opens a summary window for that leg. Once the trip summary window has opened there is a Show All button in the top right-hand corner. Clicking this button shows the summaries for all legs in the trip. Once this is clicked the Show All button updates to a Hide All button. If Hide All is clicked the window reverts back to the single-leg summary. Edit options are not available from the summary window.

Drag, drop, and stretch:

The user is given the ability to utilize the drag, drop and stretch features. To use this feature click+hold on an empty cell and drag to highlight specific dates/times and then right-click to create the event for the selected date and time.

  • Day view: The user can create an event or a trip that starts and ends at a specific hour:minute of the day.

  • Week view: The user can create an event hour by hour.

  • Month view: Events are created in 12-hour increments

The drag and drop feature also allows the user to move an event from one personnel to another. Doing so removes the original personnel and adds the new personnel to the event.

This same logic applies to dragging and dropping a trip to a new time on the same aircraft. In this scenario, the pop-up that displays normally within a trip asking if changes should be applied to the entire trip or a single leg appears in the window. If the leg that was dropped has been logged or locked, then the user receives an error that the leg cannot be rescheduled

When a trip is dragged and dropped from one aircraft to another, the flight time recalculates. Stretching or pinching an event changes the duration to the newly selected date/times.

If the user drops a trip from the trip view onto a pilot, the system checks to see if the crew member is qualified. If not, a message appears.

If the crew member is qualified, then a popup appears that shows all positions to which that person is qualified. The user then selects a position and clicks Confirm.

If the user were to drag and drop a trip from one crew member to another, the trip removes the previous crew member and assigns the new crew member to the same position on the trip; however, the trip still checks whether the crew member is qualified, or not.

'Jump to' Resource

The 'Jump to' field allows you to quickly locate specific information without the need to scroll or filter/hide any non-matching information.

Use the 'jump to' text box to search a specific resource, i.e. Fleets, Aircraft, Vendor, or Crew. Once the resource has been selected the timeline view will “Jump To” that resource and will display it at the top of the selected

timeline view.

Additionally, if the “Search For” field has been applied, then the “Jump To” drop-down list will update accordingly to only display the resources that are still displayed from the search results.

Additional Information Card Colors Coding and Symbols

Additional features provided for the information cards within the Schedule Board include hovering, warning triangles, and color-coding on the aircraft information cards.

Hovering: The user is able to hover over the various events in order to see an overview of the information for that event.

Triangles: Red warning triangles appear in the corners of the flight leg giving the user visibility when there is mismatching information between trips. If the user hovers over the leg, it shows the mismatch details in the tooltip. These appear when one of the following occurs:

  • If the arrival airport for the previous leg on the aircraft is different than the departure airport of that leg the red triangle appears in the top left corner of the flight leg.

  • If the arrival FBO for the previous leg on the aircraft is different than the departure FBO of that leg the red triangle appears in the top left corner of the flight leg.

  • If the departure airport for the next leg on the aircraft is different than the arrival airport of that leg a red triangle appears in the top right corner of the flight leg.

  • If the departure FBO for the previous leg on the aircraft is different than the arrival FBO of that leg a red triangle appears in the top right corner of the flight leg.

Aircraft Information Card Color Coding

If an aircraft is currently offline, the aircraft background color is red. If there is no offline event but there is a deferred discrepancy that is not cleared, the background displays as orange. Otherwise, it displays in green.

Helpful Hints

  • Double-clicking on the blank schedule has no effect. This is intentional due to the extensive right-click menu options that are now available.

  • Even though an event can be created from the Fleets view, events are only displayed in the Aircraft and Crew views.

  • A user is able to click on the aircraft tail in the aircraft section to pop up basic profile information on that aircraft and the full profile is available from that screen.

  • A user is able to click on the personnel member's name in the crew section to pop up basic profile information for that personnel member, and a "Go To Profile" button is available from that screen.
